A photographer has captured an image of a Peak District walker framed by the Moon.
Stuart Coltman, 27, was packing up after taking photos of motorbikes behind Mam Tor when he saw the moment on Saturday, 13 November.
He said: “If it wasn’t for taking shots of The Lone Riders I wouldn’t have even got the shot.
“I was actually putting my camera away, when I noticed the moon coming up over the edge of Mam Tor, then a figure of a guy.
“It wasn’t planned and instantly saw what could be an class shot in my head and just had to take it, and I’m so glad I did.”
The roadside motorcycle photographer from Matlock said he believed the man was another photographer, as his tripod is just visible behind him.
Mr Coltman then put the picture on Facebook and thanked the unknown man for ‘being in the right place at right time’. The photo received praise on social media, with one commentor calling it ‘stunning’.
He added: “I can’t believe how far it’s gone. I go by the name of, The Two Wheeled Photographer, which has now because of that shot gone crazy.”
